Isn't OneDrive / SharePoint already a backup?
No — sync is not backup. If a file is deleted, corrupted or encrypted by ransomware, that change syncs everywhere, including the cloud. A proper backup keeps separate, point-in-time copies you can roll back to.
What does "immutable" backup mean?
It means once a backup is written, it can't be changed or deleted for a set period — not even by an attacker with admin rights. That guarantees you always have a clean copy to restore from, even after a ransomware attack.
How quickly could we be back up after a disaster?
That depends on what's lost and your recovery targets, which we agree with you upfront. A single deleted file can be back in minutes; a full server image restore is typically hours. Because we test monthly, those times are real, not theoretical.
Where is our data stored?
In UK-based data centres, encrypted in transit and at rest. We can also keep a local on-site copy for fast restores — the two work together in the 3-2-1 model.
